10 Things - Alcoholic Drinks

Don't let the title of this post fool you I'm not a massive drinker but a drink every now and again is just good for you, and if we met in a bar and you bought me anyone of these drinks you would be a friend for life!

Alcoholic Drinks

1) Bombay Sapphire Gin with lemonade.

2) Peach Bellini

Ingredients  - 200 ml tinned peach slices, in fruit juice 750 ml Champagne, chilled Serves 6
Method - Add the peaches and their juice to a food processor or liquidizer. Whiz for a few minutes until really smooth.
Divide the peach purée between your glasses – you want a couple of centimeters worth in each one, then gently top them up with Champagne. Be careful as it can easily bubble over and you don't want to waste any Champagne! Serve immediately and enjoy.

3) Disaronno (Amaretto) and Diet Coke or Cranberry Juice

4) Red Wine I hop from wine to wine but red seems to be my ultimate fave Arniston Bay is my favorite brand

5) Mojito

Ingredients - 1 tsp white sugar, a good squeeze of lime or lemon juice, a handful of mint sprigs, (don't cut off the stalks as these contain essential oils vital for the flavour of the drink), ice, soda water/Lemonade, 50ml white rum, a dash of Angostura bitters (I don't do this bit) and lime slices, to serve
Method - Put the sugar in the bottom of a glass and pour the citrus juice over to just cover it. Add 2 long sprigs of mint. Muddle (gently pound) the juice, sugar and mint. Add ice to the top of the glass, fill the glass two-thirds full with soda water. Add the rum. Stir and add a dash of Angostura bitters. Top with slices of lime.
